Clos Mogador 2019 is a deep, concentrated and powerful wine. Another vintage of one of the great wines from the Priorat region. Intense yet balanced aroma with a scent of ripe red fruit and elegant toasted notes on a pronounced mineral base. On the palate it is full, deep and very lingering.
A superb Mogador, one that already delights and will bring even greater pleasure in the future.
Clos Mogador is a celebrated wine from René Barbier. It is considered one of the best in the Priorat region. A wine of immense quality and very authentic taste. It faithfully conveys the character of a specific local Mediterranean terroir. The Clos Mogador vineyard is one of the few recognised as Grand Cru (coming from the very best sites of the region). A collector's wine for special occasions with great cellaring potential. After a careful selection of the best grapes, fermentation takes place in various vessels (wood, steel, concrete).

Ageing: In oak barrels for 20 months. Before release, the wine then ages for a further 12 months directly in the bottle.
Grape variety: The wine is made from four varieties, dominated by 45% garnacha and 29% cariñena, with a minor share of 10% cabernet sauvignon and 16% syrah.
Taste and aroma: The wine shows maturity and finesse. On the nose we find a bouquet of cherries, blackberries and gentle, dark balsamic notes (juniper, clove and pepper) with high potential for ageing. On the palate it is creamy, with sweet tannin and a mildly fruity taste with a scent of violets.
Food pairing: Serve at 15°C, we recommend decanting 2 hours before serving. You can enjoy a glass of this premium wine on its own, or pair its perfection with a truly royal Joselito jamón.
