Clos Mogador is a celebrated wine by René Barbier. It is considered one of the best in the Priorat region. A wine of tremendous quality and very authentic flavour. It faithfully conveys the character of the specific local Mediterranean terroir. The Clos Mogador vineyard is one of the few recognised as Grand Cru (coming from the best sites in the region). A collector's wine for special occasions with great cellaring potential. After careful selection of the best grapes, fermentation takes place in various vessels (wooden, steel, concrete).

Ageing: In oak barrels for 20 months. Before being released, the wine then ages for a further 12 months in the bottle.

Grape variety: The wine is made from four varieties, dominated by 45% garnacha and 29% cariñena, with a smaller share of 10% cabernet sauvignon and 16% syrah.

Taste and aroma: The wine shows maturity and finesse. In the aroma we find a bouquet of cherries, blackberries and delicate, dark balsamic notes (juniper, clove and pepper) with high ageing potential. On the palate it is creamy, with sweet tannins and a slightly fruity flavour with the scent of violets.

Food pairing: Serve at 15°C, we recommend decanting 2 hours before serving. You can enjoy a glass of this premium wine on its own, or pair the wine's perfection with a truly regal jamón Joselito.
