Manyetes is made from grapes of the Cariñena variety, harvested from a single vineyard covering 10 hectares, from which it takes its name (Les Manyetes). This estate, at an altitude of 250 metres, has poor, shallow soils with an abundance of slate. Harvesting is done entirely by hand, the grapes picked at the optimal moment of ripeness. Once the fruit arrives at the winery, the grapes undergo a 30-day fermentation in open oak tanks, at a controlled temperature, with daily pump-overs and punch-downs. Finally, the resulting wine rests during 18 months of ageing in French oak barrels until the moment of bottling and release.

Taste and aroma: The wine has an attractive, very clear bright cherry-red colour. In the foreground is ripe fruit combined with mineral to balsamic tones in the background. Intense aromas of blackberry, candied cherry, liquorice and Indian spice. The taste of dark berries on the palate blends with beautifully integrated tannin, which gives it edge and freshness.

Food pairing: Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C, we recommend decanting 2 hours before serving. It pairs exceptionally well with red meat dishes, roasted or grilled, as well as with traditional stews or pulses.
