Baigorri, Blanco Fermentado en Barrica, D.O.C. Rioja, white wine, 0.75l

This excellent white wine comes from the Baigorri winery in the Rioja Alavesa region and is made from two varieties - Viura and Malvasía. It is grown by combining traditional and modern methods that are gentle on nature. During winemaking the grapes are hand-destemmed, then hand-sorted and macerated with their skins for several hours. The Baigorri white wine then ages for 8 months in new French oak barrels together with the lees, which gives the wine a golden colour and an intense fruity aroma.
