Baigorri, Negu, D.O.C. Rioja, red wine, 0.75l

Baigorri Negu red wine, from the Rioja region, is made from the Tempranillo variety. This young wine is made from whole grapes and partly destemmed grapes. Before a short fermentation, the grapes undergo cold maceration in stainless steel vats. This process gives the wine a distinctive character that sets it apart from other wines of its kind. Baigorri Negu has an excellent fruity aroma of redcurrant and blackberry with a hint of liquorice. A pleasant, lingering aftertaste on the palate and a lower tannin content. The wine is young - aged for 4 months in French oak barrels. The vineyards that produce the grapes for Baigorri face north and south. Their soils are clay-limestone, typical of the Rioja Alavesa area. The average vine age is more than 45 years.  We recommend serving the wine at a temperature of 16°C. It pairs excellently with seasonal salads, game and soups.
