Vinícola Real Urbión Reserva from the D.O.Ca. Rioja region is an elegant red wine that combines fruity character with the subtle influence of long ageing in oak barrels.
It is made from Tempranillo grapes from selected vineyards in the Rioja region, where the continental climate and clay-limestone soils contribute to the wine's balance and structure.
During ageing, which takes place for at least 12 months in oak and subsequently in the bottle as part of the Reserva category, the wine gains subtle notes of spice, vanilla and wood. On the palate it is harmonious, medium- to full-bodied, with smooth tannins and a long, elegant aftertaste.

Vineyards:
The grapes come from the D.O.Ca. Rioja region in Spain, from selected vineyards of the Hacienda Urbión / Vinícola Real project. The vineyards lie in a continental climate with marked differences between day and night temperatures, which helps preserve the aromatic freshness of the grapes. The soils in the area are mostly clay-limestone and sandy loam, which supports the wine's structure, balance and ageing potential.
Ageing:
The wine ages for at least 12 months in oak barrels and subsequently continues to age in the bottle.
Taste and aroma:
The nose features notes of ripe red and dark fruit, especially cherries, plums and forest fruit. Subtle notes of vanilla, sweet spice, cocoa and light wood gradually develop. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, harmonious and well structured, with fine, mature tannins. The aftertaste is longer, fruity-spicy and elegant.
Tasting notes:
The recommended serving temperature is 16–18 °C. The wine goes well with bolder meat dishes such as beef, lamb, game or roast meats. It also pairs excellently with stewed dishes and mature hard cheeses. Thanks to its balance, it is suitable both with food and for slower, more contemplative enjoyment.
