Vinícola Real Urbión Crianza from the D.O.Ca. Rioja region is an elegant red wine that combines fruity character with the subtle influence of ageing in oak barrels.
It is made from Tempranillo grapes from selected vineyards in the Rioja region, where the continental climate and clay-limestone soils support the wine's balance and structure.
During ageing, which takes place for at least 12 months in oak and subsequently in the bottle in line with the Crianza category, the wine gains subtle notes of spice and vanilla. On the palate it is medium-bodied, harmonious and fruity, with smooth tannins and a pleasantly fresh aftertaste.
Hacienda Urbión is a young winery, founded only in 2008, which focuses primarily on newcomers to the world of wine. It produces light, easy-drinking, fruity wines with a light hint of oak.

Vineyards:
The grapes come from the D.O.Ca. Rioja region in Spain, from selected vineyards of the Vinícola Real / Hacienda Urbión project. The vineyards lie in a continental climate with marked temperature differences between day and night, which helps preserve the aromatic freshness of the grapes. The soils are mostly clay-limestone and sandy loam, which support the wine's structure and balance.
Ageing:
For the Crianza category in Rioja, the wine ages for a minimum of 24 months in total, of which at least 12 months in oak barrels (a combination of American and/or French oak depending on the vintage). The wine then continues to age in the bottle before release, which gives it finesse and harmony.
Taste and aroma:
The nose features notes of red fruit (cherries, raspberries) complemented by subtle spicy and lightly vanilla notes from the oak ageing. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, fruity and balanced, with fine, smooth tannins and pleasant acidity. The aftertaste is medium-long, fruity-spicy and clean.
Tasting notes:
The recommended serving temperature is 14–16 °C. The wine goes well with roast and grilled meat, pasta with tomato or meat sauces, tapas or semi-mature cheeses. Thanks to its freshness and finesse, it is also suitable for everyday drinking.
