Vinicola Real, 200 Monges Reserva rosado, D.O. Rioja, rosé wine, 0.75l

A wine with a bronze hue, it surprises with delicate notes of wood and aromatic herbs such as chamomile and thyme. At the same time the wine is fruity and sweet. The grapes used to make this wine come from two small plots in the village of La Rad in Albelda de Iregua. The grapes are harvested and transported in small 10kg crates. A double selection of the grapes takes place, first in the vineyard and then at the winery. After crushing, the mass is left to macerate for 24 hours. The clean must is pumped into a stainless-steel tank, where whole, uncrushed red Grenache is added. The wine ferments for 10 days in stainless-steel tanks at a temperature of 15°C, after which it is transferred to barrels, where it remains for 20 months.
The 2017 vintage was produced in a limited quantity of 6,600 bottles.

Grape variety: Viura 70%, Garnacha 30% and a small percentage of other varieties such as Tempranillo or Calagraño.

Vine age: exceeds 80 years, and the yield per vine is less than 1kg.

Taste and aroma: Light rosé colour with bronze nuances. In the bouquet, traces of wood, pastry, stone fruit and aromatic herbs such as chamomile and thyme. A complex wine with a pleasant fruity finish of wild strawberries.

Food pairing: We recommend serving at a temperature of 10-12°C. It pairs beautifully with grilled fish, chicken or vegetables. It is ideal as a contrast to spicy dishes, and goes well with tapas in the form of jamón, various types of seafood, and also with harder cheeses aged for at least 6 months.
