Luis Cañas Crianza is an elegant red wine from Rioja Alavesa, made mainly from the Tempranillo grape. It ages for 12 months in oak barrels, giving it a balanced character with notes of red fruit, delicate spice and vanilla. On the palate it is smooth, harmonious and ideal with grilled meat or cheeses.

The British magazine Decanter ranked the Luis Cañas wine cellars among the 100 best in the world. Albert Adrià exclusively chose Luis Cañas wines for his new restaurant project Ticket in Barcelona.
Grape variety: 95% Tempranillo, 5% Garnacha.
Crianza: 12 months in oak barrels, American (30%) and French (70%), a minimum of 9 months ageing in the bottle.
The grapes come from vineyards with an average age of around 30–35 years.
Taste and aroma: A very deep colour, reminiscent of cherries and ripe plums. On the nose the fruitiness of cherries and blackberries with traces of wood, herbs, coffee and vanilla. It is a very complex and structured wine with a long finish. On the palate it is velvety smooth, with an elegant structure, pleasant tannin and a long, balanced finish.
Food pairing: We recommend serving at a temperature of 18°C with red meats or fish in sauces. It is also a perfect accompaniment to simple tapas such as jamón ibérico, Spanish charcuterie or sheep's cheese matured for around 6 months.
