Valdegatiles is one of the Estate wines produced at Bodegas Dominio de Atauta. It has all the potential given to it by the deepest (up to 1.6 m) layer of limestone and the richest minerals in the clay. Both the soil composition and its depth make Valdegatiles a wine of great structure and power.

This quality red wine of cherry colour is produced by the Dominio de Atauta winery, located in D.O. Ribera del Duero. The Atauta valley, which lies on the eastern edge of the Ribera del Duero region, is unique thanks to its altitude, which ranges between 950 and 1000 metres above sea level. Because of this higher altitude, the vines are regularly exposed to strong winds, which clean and dry the grapes. During harvest, the temperature difference between day and night is also around 25 °C, which leads to excellent ripeness. The winery's long-standing local tradition is reflected in the hand harvesting of the grapes and their further processing.
