Dominio de Atauta, La Celestina, D.O. Ribera del Duero, red wine, 0.75l

The red wine La Celestina is made from a single variety, Tempranillo, and ages for 12 months in French oak barrels. On the palate the wine is round and balanced, very fresh and juicy with delicate acidity. It pairs wonderfully with white meat, lamb and kid meat, and also goes excellently with mushroom and rice dishes with meat and truffles. The Dominio de Atauta winery is located in the province of Soria and lies at an altitude of 1000 metres. It is a very small valley located at the start of the Ribera del Duero region. Despite its small size, it can offer a great diversity of soils, both in depth and composition. A common feature of all the soils is limestone rock, which gives the vine its typical minerality and prevents the roots from reaching the deeper layers of the subsoil. Altitude is one of the characteristic features of this region - thanks to it, the grapes ripen for a much longer period. The west wind, in turn, contributes to lower humidity and helps prevent disease.  The unique features of this terroir are reflected in every wine produced here with love, care and respect for tradition and nature.
