Sierra Cantabria, Finca El Bosque, D.O. Rioja, red wine, 0.75l

This outstanding red wine is made from the Tempranillo grape in the Rioja region by the Sierra Cantabria winery. It comes from the Finca El Bosque vineyard, which has a very small area and is over 40 years old. The climate lies on the border between Atlantic and Mediterranean, ensuring cold winters, mild summers and large temperature differences between day and night - perfect conditions for the grapes to ripen. The harvest is done by hand and the grapes undergo double selection. El Bosque is made using traditional methods. Before the first fermentation, the berries are macerated at a temperature of 8 °C for 3 days, then the wine ferments in barriques at a temperature of 28 °C for 13 days and then ages for 18 months in French oak barrels. This creates a captivating, very complex aroma with forest fruit, balsamic notes and spice against a backdrop of flowers in bloom and minerals. On the palate elegant, delicate, full of unique expressiveness with huge fruit potential and tannin well integrated into the structure of the wine. The wine received 97 points from Robert Parker.  Grape variety: 100% Tempranillo Serve at a temperature of  16-18 °C. Pairs wonderfully with hard cheeses, game, grilled red meats, pulses, roasted and stewed meats.
