Made from the best grapes in Pago Valdelayegua, a vineyard that gives the wine its unique qualities. At an average altitude of 815 metres above sea level it produces grapes of excellent colour and structure, thanks to a high proportion of clay-limestone soil, the result of particles deposited by the Gromejón river millions of years ago in suspension.

Grape variety: 95% Tinto Fino, 5% Merlot

Ageing: 12 months in French and American oak barrels and 3 months in Nevers oak barrels

Taste and aroma: This outstanding red wine boasts a deep ruby colour and a complex aroma. It is a wine of limited production and exceptional quality, full-bodied with a very rich aroma with notes of ripe forest fruit and the scent of forest herbs, carrying notes of vanilla, coconut, dried fruit and cinnamon with a creamy finish.

Food pairing: This red wine is best enjoyed at a mild temperature of 16-18 °C. It pairs beautifully with veal escalope with beans and tomatoes, spicy lamb curry or braised vegetables with pesto. It also pairs excellently with tapas in the form of spicy mature cheeses and jamón ibérico.
