The unique red wine Valdebellón from the prestigious Abadía Retuerta winery comes from a carefully selected single vineyard in the D.O.P. Abadía Retuerta area. This vineyard is planted with older Cabernet Sauvignon vines, which grow on gravelly and sandy soils with excellent drainage. Thanks to the specific microclimate, the grapes achieve remarkable concentration, structure and elegance.
Abadía Retuerta is one of the most acclaimed wineries in Spain and has long collected high ratings from world critics. The wine Valdebellón is considered one of their most distinctive wines, perfectly reflecting the character of the single vineyard.

Ageing: approximately 18–20 months in French oak barrels
Taste and aroma: The wine has a deep, dark ruby colour. The aroma is dominated by notes of blackcurrant, blackberries and ripe plums, complemented by nuances of tobacco, cedar wood and subtle spice. Thanks to oak ageing, notes of chocolate and balsamic also appear. On the palate it is full, structured and at the same time elegant, with firm yet mature tannins and a very long, harmonious finish.
Food pairing: Ideally served at a temperature of around 16–18 °C. It pairs excellently with beef steaks, lamb, game or strongly flavoured cheeses. It also goes wonderfully with dishes featuring truffles or red wine reductions.
