Le Domaíne, the first white wine from the Abadía Retuerta winery, is the result of more than 20 years of research. An original and surprising wine with intensity and character, full-bodied, understated, with a long and fresh finish. It is designed to improve with time, and faithfully reflects the personality of the Abadía Retuerta terroir. Abadía Retuerta is considered one of the most innovative wineries in Europe and has gained international recognition, with its wine included among the "100 best wines in the world" according to Wine Spectator magazine.

Grape variety: 86% Sauvignon Blanc, 14% Verdejo

Ageing: 6 months in French oak barrels

Taste and aroma: At first the wine is very fragrant, with the aroma of white flowers, black elderflower, acacia and refreshing notes of ginger and citrus. Once opened, apricots, nectarines and ripe fruit such as melon appear, which are very characteristic of a warm vintage. The 2022 vintage was the hottest and driest on record, with intense heat already in May. Persistent, long, creamy and understated, revealing very delicate work with the lees. A fresh acidity, almost crystal clear, very well integrated, giving the wine great ageing potential.

Food pairing: We recommend serving at a temperature between 6-8°C. It goes wonderfully with smoked fish, rice dishes, white meat or Spanish cheese tapas.
