Telmo Rodríquez is a Spanish winery founded in 1994. Around the world it has a reputation as a pioneer championing Spanish winemaking, a travelling oenologist and a "driving wine-maker". It earned this reputation mainly because it travels to individual regions to make wines from a single harvest using only the native varieties of each area. It also devotes special care to reviving forgotten vineyards. The Telmo Rodríquez brand reflects an immense love of wine and fine winemaking craft.
Telmo Rodríguez Pegaso Arrebatacapas is a unique red wine from the extreme single-vineyard site of Arrebatacapas in the Sierra de Gredos (Cebreros, Ávila) in Spain.
Vineyard: This vineyard project represents a historic plot of 2.1 ha, planted in 1953, with very old bush-trained Garnacha vines on a steep south-facing slope at an altitude of around 1050 m, surrounded by juniper, rosemary and lavender. Soils of sandstone slate with quartz intrusions give the wine a pronounced mineral depth and a distinctive terroir character, reflected in its complexity and structural strength.

Grape variety: The wine is 100% Garnacha
Production: The grapes are not fully destemmed and ferment with native yeasts, followed by a long maceration and ageing for approximately one year in used 600-litre oak barrels, which gives the wine depth, texture and an elegant tannic structure without excessive oak aromas.
Taste and aroma: Pegaso Arrebatacapas shows as a wine that is medium- to full-bodied, with concentrated fruit of red and dark berries, complemented by floral, herbal and mineral notes.
