Milsetentayseis is a red wine from D.O. Ribera del Duero (Fuentenebro, Burgos), part of the Alma Carraovejas project, made from very old bush vines grown at high altitude in mineral-rich soils. On the palate it is concentrated and balanced, combining dark fruit, subtle spicy and mineral notes, with good acidity and smooth tannins, giving the wine elegance, structure and ageing potential.
Milsetentayseis offers an authentic expression of Ribera del Duero terroir together with a subtly modern interpretation of traditional Spanish varieties.
Awards: 2019 – 93–96 points from critics such as Robert Parker (Wine Advocate), James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast.

2021 – 92–94 points from Wine Spectator.
The 2019 and 2020 vintages are particularly praised for their depth and complexity.
Grape variety: mainly the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) variety with a smaller proportion of traditional Spanish varieties such as Albillo, Garnacha and Monastrell.
Ageing: Ages for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels and foudres, then rests for at least a further 12 months in the bottle, which ensures balance and harmony of flavours.
Vineyard: The vines grow at an altitude of over 1,000 metres in the Ribera del Duero region, specifically in the village of Fuentenebro. The soil is rich in minerals such as quartz, muscovite and mica, which gives the wine a pronounced mineral character. The vineyards are farmed organically, with an emphasis on low yields and grape quality.
Taste and aroma: The aroma is complex, with notes of ripe red fruit, dried herbs, white pepper and mineral undertones. On the palate it offers full body with firm acidity, velvety tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Food pairing: Goes wonderfully with roasted or grilled red meat, game, mature cheeses and dishes with herbs and delicate spices. The recommended serving temperature is 16–18 °C.
