Vineyard and ageing: Espectacle wine is born from an ancient vineyard, more than 120 years old, located amid the magnificent landscape of the north-western part of Montsant. Hand-picked grapes, cooled to 4 °C and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place over 30 days in large French oak vats, after which the wine is aged for 14 to 16 months in the same vats.
Espectacle is considered one of the finest Grenache wines in the world! It masterfully expresses striking finesse and complexity. The wine is marked by, and deeply connected to, its local terroir. Simply luxury within reach of a privileged few.

Grape variety: 100% Grenache

Taste and aroma: The 2018 vintage was cooler, which led to slower ripening of the grapes and an alcohol level of 16%. The wine is characterised by a deep ruby colour with violet hues and complex aromas of ripe black fruit, flowers such as rose and orange blossom, together with hints of spice, liquorice and delicate oak. On the palate it is full, with round and elegant tannins, freshness and a long finish.

Food pairing: Recommended to be served at 16ºC. Pairs wonderfully with grilled meat. This type of wine also excellently complements game, such as red deer or fallow deer, prepared in red wine or in richer sauces. It also pairs well with matured cheeses, such as Manchego or Pecorino, or blue-veined cheeses like Roquefort or Cabrales. It also pairs excellently with intense dishes such as Indian cuisine or Mediterranean food, where bold spices and flavours are used.
