Clos Mogador, Com Tu, D.O. Montsant, red wine, 0.75l

Com Tu is the younger sibling of the wine L'Espectacle. It is a joint project of René Barbier and his son Anderson Barbier. Anderson is in love with the La Figuera area and its potential. Together with his father he decided to embark on a new adventure, to make his first wine and successfully enter the world of great wines. Com tu is conceived as a tribute to all people, regardless of their colour, gender, appearance, socio-economic situation, education or profession.... This symbolism is reflected in the ambiguity of the label, designed by the well-known artist - his mother Isabel.

Grape variety: La Figuera is an area where 100% Garnacha is grown.

Vineyard and soil: Located at between 500 - 600 metres above sea level in a very cool area with calcareous, white and red clay soils. The grapes for Com tu come from the old Miramar vineyards right next to L'Espectacle. The age of the vines ranges from 35 to 100 years. The surrounding area has beautiful rows of apple and almond trees.

Ageing: The harvest is done by hand, and the grapes are selected in the vineyard. Once the grapes arrive at the winery they ferment in wooden foudres, where they mature for 18 months.

Tasting notes: Com tu is a red wine with a complex aroma, where tones of red and black fruit are accompanied by an interesting citrus tone reminiscent of orange peel and a mineral hint. On the palate it is delicate, yet at the same time full, with refined tannins and very well integrated wood, which allows the fruit to express itself clearly and project its freshness. It is an elegant and aromatic wine. Total production is 3000 bottles.

Food pairing: Beef steak or braised beef, Lamb chops with rosemary, Longer-aged cheeses (Manchego Curado, Pecorino), Mediterranean cuisine with spices (grilled aubergine, roasted peppers, Iberian ham)
