Vineyard and ageing: Espectacle is born from an ancient vineyard, more than 120 years old, set amid the magnificent landscape of the north-western part of Montsant. Hand-picked grapes, cooled to 4 °C and thoroughly sorted. Fermentation takes place over 30 days in large French oak barrels, after which the wine ages for 14 to 16 months in the same barrels.
Espectacle is considered one of the best Grenache wines in the world! It masterfully expresses striking finesse and complexity. The wine is marked by, and very closely tied to, the local terroir. Simply put, a luxury within reach of only a privileged few.

Grape variety: 100% Grenache

Taste and aroma: The 2018 vintage was cooler, which led to slower ripening of the grapes and an alcohol level of 16%. The wine is characterised by a deep ruby colour with violet hues and complex aromas of ripe black fruit, flowers such as rose and orange blossom, together with hints of spice, liquorice and gentle oak. On the palate it is full, with round and elegant tannins, freshness and a long finish.

Food pairing: Recommended serving temperature 16ºC. Pairs wonderfully with grilled meat. This type of wine also excellently complements game, such as red deer or fallow deer, prepared in red wine or in heavier sauces. It also goes well with matured cheeses, such as Manchego or Pecorino, or blue cheeses, such as Roquefort or Cabrales. It excellently complements intense dishes, such as Indian cuisine or Mediterranean food, where bold spices and flavours are used.
