Traditional Rioja with elegance and depth
This wine represents the authentic character of the Sonsierra region – a blend of old vineyards spread across the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria mountains. Thanks to careful grape selection, traditional processing and long ageing in oak barrels, it offers a complex and elegant expression of terroir.

Grape variety: Predominantly Tempranillo, complemented by Garnacha and Graciano, which give the wine freshness and aromatic depth.

Ageing: The wine aged for 18 months in oak barrels, of which 80% was French oak and 20% American oak, adding delicate spiciness and noble tannins.

Vineyard: Location: various vineyards on the slopes of Sierra Cantabria (from Lanciego to Labastida), Soil: clay-limestone, poor in nutrients, with deep layers of limestone rocks, Harvest: hand-picked into 15 kg crates, thorough grape selection at the winery

Tasting notes: The wine is structured, elegant and long-lived. On the palate, notes of ripe plums, cherries and blackberries dominate, complemented by violets, tobacco leaves, cocoa and delicate notes of fine wood. A pronounced mineral component and well-integrated tannins give the wine a long, harmonious finish.

Food pairing: Beef steak or braised beef, Lamb chops with rosemary, Cheeses with longer ageing (Manchego Curado, Pecorino), Mediterranean cuisine with spices (grilled aubergines, roasted peppers, Iberian ham)
