Alzania, Syrah, D.O. Navarra, red wine, 0.75l

Grape variety:
Alzania Syrah is a red wine made from 100% Syrah, which is prized in the Navarra region for its intensity, spiciness and ability to create wines with a pronounced character. Compared to its "older sibling" Alzania 21 del 10, this wine feels younger, fresher and more approachable.

Vineyard:
The grapes come from vineyards in the D.O. Navarra region, where warm sunny days alternate with cool nights, which helps slow ripening of the grapes and preserves aromatic intensity as well as natural acidity. The vineyards are located on clay-limestone soils with mineral elements, which contribute to the structure and complexity of the wine.

Production and ageing:
After careful harvesting and fermentation, the wine ages 9 months in American oak barrels, of which approximately 50% are new and 50% are one year old. This method of ageing gives the wine delicate notes of vanilla, coconut and spice, without suppressing its fruity character and freshness.

Aroma and taste:
The aroma shows the typical characteristics of the Syrah variety. Notes of dark fruit, such as blackberries and blueberries, complemented by delicate spicy nuances, black pepper and light hints of vanilla and toast from the oak barrel. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, juicy and fresh, with fine tannins and balanced acidity, which underlines its lively character. The finish is clean, fruity and pleasantly spicy.

Food pairing:
Thanks to its freshness and approachability, it pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, burgers, pasta with tomato sauces or semi-hard cheeses. The recommended serving temperature is 14–16°C.
