The dry white wine Moraza Las Tasugueras Blanco, coming from the D.O. Rioja Alta region, is made from 100% Tempranillo blanco. This variety was discovered at the end of the 20th century as a mutation of the classic Tempranillo. The grapes are harvested early so that the alcohol content is as low as possible. After spontaneous fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in stainless steel tanks, which preserves its freshness and vivacity. Straw-yellow colour to the eye. A delicate, mineral wine with notes of baked pears, lemongrass, marzipan and hazelnuts. Creamy on the palate with a long finish and very clean acidity. Bodegas Moraza - a small family winery from Rioja, Spain's best-known region, for whom making a heavy, barrel-aged wine is not the priority; instead they have taken a more alternative path. They seek a way to authentically reflect the local terroir and the character of the typical varieties in their wines. Their wine differs from "commercial" wineries mainly in its spontaneous fermentation and ageing in concrete tanks instead of classic oak barrels. The wines retain their freshness and are more drinkable and fruity.
