Vineyard: The Artadi Valdeginés wine comes from a 7-hectare vineyard located in the village of Laguardia, about 600 metres above sea level. The specific terroir of the Valdegines vineyards, comprising sandy and limestone soils, together with large daily temperature swings and cool nights, gives the grapes richness, concentration and balance, which are key to producing a wine with such potential.

Ageing: It typically ages for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels, part of which takes place in new French barrels. This ageing period allows the wine to gain complex aromas and structure, while its tannins soften.

Taste and aroma: Visually, the wine is characterised by a deep ruby red colour with subtle garnet hues. The bouquet is complex, with dominant notes of dark fruit, such as blackberries, cherries or blackcurrant, complemented by earthy, spicy and woody nuances, resulting from ageing in oak barrels. On the palate the wine is full, with well-balanced tannins and a fresh touch of acidity, which gives it a long and elegant finish.

Tasting notes: This wine pairs wonderfully with red meat, especially grilled beef or lamb, as well as with mature cheeses.
