Vineyard: The vineyards are located around the village of Artazu in the Valdizarbe subzone, one of the northernmost parts of D.O. Navarra, which is significantly influenced by the Atlantic climate. The vineyards are situated at higher altitudes (around 500–600 metres above sea level), which helps preserve the freshness and acidity of the grapes, which is key to producing high-quality wines.

Ageing: The wine ages for approximately 12 to 14 months in new French oak barrels.

Taste and aroma: The aroma is dominated by a mix of red and dark fruit, such as cherries, raspberries and blackcurrant, complemented by delicate floral notes. In the background there are spicy and herbal nuances, which add depth to the wine. On the palate the wine is elegant and well-structured, with fine but firm tannins. The finish is long with a hint of wood and light smoky notes. Balanced, with a good ratio of fruit, acidity and tannins, which gives it longevity and ageing potential.

Tasting notes: Ideal with grilled or roasted meat, such as lamb, beef steak or game. It also excels with roast pork and grilled lamb chops, cheeses with a stronger flavour, such as manchego or pecorino, and pairs wonderfully with mushroom risottos or truffle dishes. It is also recommended with pasta with rich sauces, such as ragù or bolognese, where its structure and long finish will enhance the intense flavours of these dishes. The wine should be served at a temperature of 16–18°C, so that its complexity can fully develop.
