Artuke, La Condenada, D.O.C. Rioja, red wine, 0.75l

The red, dry wine La Condenada, from the D.O. Rioja region, is made from the Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and Palomino Fino varieties. The vineyards were planted in 1920 in Baños de Ebro (Rioja Alavesa) at an altitude of 520 metres, on sandy soils with a sandstone substrate. Harvesting is done by hand. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 500-litre French oak barrels. Ageing takes place in 600-litre French oak barrels for 14 months. The wine is bottled after light filtration and without stabilisation. An intense and sensual wine. An explosion of red and black fruit, notes of thyme, biting pepper together with well-integrated minerality add complexity, together with a pleasantly fresh acidity. The tannins melt into a blueberry finish. A subtle salty taste at the end.  This wine perfectly complements any meat, we particularly recommend trying it with veal or lamb! We recommend serving at a temperature of 16 - 18°C. Decanting time approx. 1 hour. The wine is suitable for cellaring for 8 - 10 years.
