Remelluri, Reserva, D.O. Rioja, red wine, 0.75l

Remelluri Reserva red wine, from the Rioja region, is made from a unique combination of the red varieties Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano. The wine has a cherry colour with very good depth and a garnet rim. The aroma is rich and intense with a hint of black and red fruit. You can also detect minerals, mushrooms, incense and herbs. In the mouth it is delicate yet intense and full, with a long finish. Reserva is the flagship wine from the Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri estate, on which grapes are harvested from three valleys surrounding the winery – Remelluri, Valderremelluri and Villaescusa – belonging to the villages of Labastida (Rioja Alavesa) and Rivas de Tereso, a village that is part of San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja Alta). The harvest is done by hand, the grapes are collected in 20 kg boxes and then immediately transported to the winery, where they are carefully hand-sorted on sorting tables. Fermentation takes place using the winery's own natural yeasts. The wine is aged for 17 months in French oak barrels and then for at least another year in bottle. It pairs well with veal, roast meat, lamb, sheep's cheese and grilled dishes. We recommend serving the wine at a temperature of 16°C.
