Rojo Clásico Vermouth is made from Macabeo and Xarel·lo grapes from the Padró vineyards. Sugar and the herbal recipe are added to the wine during the first winter after harvest; this base is kept in very old chestnut barrels, previously used in the 1960s to transport wine and recycled for storing vermouth. Rojo Clásico is a simple and pleasant vermouth with a beautifully distinctive nose, tones of sweet spice, cinnamon and clove, candied fruit. Quite fresh and creamy on the palate, with characteristic tones of Mediterranean herbs and a slightly bitter finish.
Served cold with ice and orange peel.
