Mascaro Vermuth premium, Original 0.75l

It is made from Parellada wine and Ugni Blanc wine distillate, both from the Mascaró family's own vineyards and distillery in the Penedès region.
A carefully selected combination of more than 30 herbs, spices and aromatic ingredients, such as juniper, ginger, citrus peel and coffee, is macerated into this base blend. After maceration, the vermouth ages in oak barrels that were previously used to age brandy, giving it depth, finesse and a complex character. Finally, it is filtered and bottled, resulting in a rich, balanced vermouth with a pleasant bitterness, fresh acidity and a long finish.

Taste and aroma: The vermouth has a light mahogany colour with golden and amber highlights. The aroma is dominated by notes of aromatic herbs, ginger, coffee, juniper and balsamic. The flavour is intense, with an excellent balance between acidity and bitterness. On the palate, sweetness comes first, gradually giving way to pleasantly bittersweet notes. The finish is long, with fresh touches thanks to citrus and spicy nuances.

Tasting notes: It is ideal as a sophisticated aperitif, best enjoyed chilled to 10–12°C, served on its own or with an ice cube and a slice of orange. A few drops of soda water or tonic can be added to enhance the aroma. It pairs wonderfully with tapas and light starters, such as Spanish potato salad (ensaladilla rusa), delicate pâtés, charcuterie or soft cheeses.
Its herbal, spicy profile also goes well with olives, marinated vegetables or light fish dishes.
It is also excellent as part of classic vermouth cocktails, such as Negroni or Manhattan.
