Turrón de Alicante is a traditional hard turrón, one of the oldest and best-known Spanish confections.
It is made according to a protected recipe from whole roasted almonds (often the Marcona variety), blossom honey, sugar and egg whites, which give it a firm, crunchy texture along with a clean, natural flavour.
This sweet is characterised by its brittle consistency and high almond content, which makes up most of its volume.
