Rolland Galarreta, Tempranillo Merlot, D.O. Ribera del Duero, red wine, 0.75l

This delicious red wine comes from the Rolland Galarreta winery in the Ribera del Duero region. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 750-900 metres above sea level and are more than 35 years old. The soil is very poor in nutrients and mostly stony. The grapes undergo a double selection - during harvest and again in the cellar. After a long maceration, the wine ferments and ages in French oak barrels for 10 months. It is then bottled without any filtration. The flavour of this wine is juicy and reminiscent of chocolate with a hint of plum cake with vanilla. It is beautifully balanced with a fresh finish. Grape variety: 85% Tempranillo, 15% Merlot We recommend serving at a temperature of 16 °C. It pairs well with white and red meats, roast lamb and kid, meat stewed with mushrooms, rice, mild and semi-mature cheeses, charcuterie, mushrooms and truffles.
