From younger vines and 4 months of ageing in oak barrels. A fruity wine, tasty and juicy.
Tasting notes: Cherry-red in the glass with a purple rim, clean and bright. Very fruity. On the nose, red fruit (strawberries and cranberries). Light floral tones of violets and undergrowth. Notes of liquorice, blood orange and peach against a background of chocolate and vanilla. The taste is fresh, juicy and structured. Balanced and easy to drink.

Bodegas Aldonia is a family winery located on the Camino de Santiago in Navarrete, and its name is derived from "La Dona", one of the most noble family vineyards. At the beginning of the 20th century, originally influenced by winemaking techniques from Bordeaux, the estate is now run by the 4th generation of winemakers. "We set out to create our own style of wine, focusing on hand work in the vineyard and maximum respect for the grapes. Our wines differ from many other Riojas because they show their own personality, based on Garnacha vineyards grown at altitude (some above 850 metres above sea level). All our wines contain more than 60% Grenache, and some up to 100%. Production ages mostly in 500-litre barrels, so that the purity of the wine is respected and the wood does not mask it. We do not follow conventional categories; instead we choose to preserve the essence and elegance of the Rioja terroir," they say.
