The company is based in the small town of Almoharín in Extremadura, renowned throughout Spain for its excellent figs. This region has a unique climate that allows the cultivation of a variety called "calabacita". This variety is characterised by its unique ripeness and outstanding sweet flavour. The history of Rabitos Royale goes back to 1989, when the couple Valera and Felipe Nieva hit upon the idea of combining figs with chocolate. The result is an original and delicious delicacy that quickly found customers around the world. Today the company is run by the founders' children, who improve the production methods while trying to preserve the original recipe.
