Quinces were already known in ancient Greece, where they were a symbol of health, love and fertility. In the region of Central Asia, where they originate, they were used in healing. Quince paste is sweet and slightly tart, giving dishes a unique flavour and aroma. It is served on its own, spread on bread for breakfast or as a snack, and is often used in sweet pastries. It goes wonderfully with Manchego cheese. Contains no artificial preservatives or colourings.
