This outstanding red wine made from the Tinta de Toro grape comes from the Teso la Monja winery and the Valdefinjas and Toro vineyards, which are between 15 and 65 years old. Harvesting and the selection of the wine are done manually, fermentation takes place at a constant temperature for 8 days, and the wine is then macerated for 8 days. 30% of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in American oak barrels, the rest in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for 14 months. At the Teso la Monja winery, they pride themselves on the careful selection of old, low-yielding vines. The renowned oenologist Marcus Eguren, named Winemaker of the Year 2012 by the prestigious Wine Enthusiast magazine, produces unique wines here with remarkable elegance, which maintain their high standard and the complexity characteristic of the region.  This wine has a cherry colour with violet highlights, almost inky dark. It has an aroma of red fruit, with notes of coffee, chocolate, vanilla and spicier spice. In the background you can detect a toasted note. On the palate it is very smooth and silky. The wine is full-bodied, very intense with a long finish.  Grape variety: 100% Tinta de Toro Serve at a temperature of approximately 17°C.
