Real Conservera mussels come from the mouth of the Arosa river, which gives them their typical orange colour, enhanced by the famous escabeche sauce. The mussels are very carefully selected and cleaned by hand, then briefly fried in olive oil and covered with an escabeche marinade based on olive oil, wine vinegar, paprika, black pepper, cloves and bay leaf. These tinned mussels are made only in their season, so that only the best specimens reach your table.

These pickled mussels are best enjoyed cold, so we recommend placing the tin on crushed ice or in the freezer for 5-10 minutes before opening. They are delicious on their own as a starter or part of a tapas spread, but we also recommend trying them as a filling for tacos with guacamole.
