These excellent mussels come from the Rías Baixas area in Galicia, known for its high quality seafood. After careful selection and thorough rinsing, the mussels are steamed and then fried in olive oil to remove the byssus, the fibres by which they attach to their surface. They are then packed by hand and preserved in a marinade of natural ingredients, which bring out their exquisite flavour.
Mussels are best enjoyed with quality white wine or vermouth, or you can add a special touch to your festive table by serving them as a starter.
