Mentidero takes its name from Madrid, or more precisely from the Mentideros de Madrid, gatherings where intellectuals used to meet and discuss the issues of the day. It is produced by the traditional method of distilling sugar cane, which was brought to Spain by the Arabs. Already at the time of the Reconquista, distillation began to transform it into this wonderful drink in the south of Spain.
This amber-coloured rum is made only from 100% natural raw materials, with no preservatives added. Ageing in a barrique barrel for at least one year gives it its characteristic colour. A rum of exceptional aroma, and the first to be made solely in Madrid, it will win you over with its uniqueness and its blend of tradition and modernity.
