Recaredo Terrers is a dry, natural sparkling wine without added sugar. The flavour of ripe white fruit is complemented by floral undertones. Three varieties are used in its production - Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada, which are harvested by hand. Part of this sparkling wine aged in oak barrels, the second ageing takes place in the bottle with a cork, after which it is hand-riddled and then remains a further 54 months in the bottle. The Recaredo winery's cavas are made exclusively from grapes from its own vineyards, located on the banks of the Bitlles river, in the Alt Penedès region near Barcelona. The vines here grow in highly calcareous soils. This winery is subject to biodynamic farming, which involves using only organic fertilisers and principles of an ethical approach towards farmed animals, environmental protection and the maintenance of biodiversity.
