Montearruit Amontillado Viejísimo 75 Años scored 98 points in the Guía de Vinos y Aceites de la Semana Vitivinícola 2023 and was named the best Pedro Ximénez wine to appear in the honour roll of this publication, considered one of the reference wine guides in Spain. The launch took place on the occasion of the centenary of the siege of Monte Arruit, a terrible episode of the Rif War, in which Lieutenant José Gracia Benítez, the father of the winery's founder, saved his life, and which his son honoured by turning it into a brand. It is a limited collector's edition with a production of only 1,080 bottles of 3.75 cl. "Montearruit" is an Amontillado with 75 years of ageing, most of which took place in a static ageing process, allowing all its components to become concentrated. Very intense yet balanced. The cask, which slept in the Gracia solera, was bottled to mark the centenary of the heroic deeds of Monte Arruit.
