Amontillado Solera 1955 is a luxurious sherry from the Montilla-Moriles region. It is a limited edition wine, made from the Pedro Ximénez variety, which began ageing in 1955 using the "criaderas y soleras" system. Amontillado Solera is an exceptional piece, reflecting the entire soul of the Pérez Barquero winery. It boasts timeless elegance, complexity, intensity, and transports us to a world of memories, where a salty sea breeze carries the scent of a long and vivid history. An amber-coloured wine with an expressive aroma, in which one can detect spices, incense, nuts and a delicate hint of yeast. On the palate it is very rich, salty, with a long and complex finish.

The wine received 97 points from the world-renowned wine expert Robert Parker. He describes it as "an extraordinary old Amontillado, with a great balance between age and elegance, perfumed and delicate. The flavour is very intense, deeply saline and long, tasty and elegant, with excellent balance."
The Pérez Barquero winery has specialised since 1905 in producing exceptional, distinctive sherries and wines of the highest quality. The vineyards lie in the Montilla-Moriles region and grow mainly the Pedro Ximénez variety. Whether it's old wines, vermouth, brandy or sweet natural wines, they put care and love for the craft into all their products.
