Pazo de Señorans, Albariño, D.O. Rias Baixas, white wine, 0.75l

A delicious dry white wine made from the Albariño variety. The vines used to produce this delicious wine come from lowlands close to the Atlantic Ocean, which influences the resulting taste of the grapes just as much as the local clay subsoil. The wine ages for at least 5 months in steel tanks and then a further 4 months in bottle. The Rías Baixas region is a wine region in Galicia in the province of Pontevedra. The region is known primarily for its white wines made from the Albariño variety. Pazo Señorans uses grapes from the Val do Salnés micro-region. The soil here is mostly clay  and stony. The local Atlantic climate is characterised by humid winters, strong wind and a large amount of rainfall. The proximity of the ocean and the surrounding slopes are decisive for the character of the grapes. This Albariño is characterised by a fruity aroma (peaches, tropical fruit...)    and a delicate, fresh taste. The colour of Albariño is pale yellow with green highlights. Albariño is ideal as an accompaniment to seafood and fish, as is customary in Galicia.
