Ossian Vides y Vinos, Quintaluna, Castilla y León, white wine, 0.75l
Quintaluna is a fresh and terroir-driven white wine made from 100% Verdejo from small vineyards around Nieva (Segovia) in Castilla y León. The vineyards grow on sandy and slightly stony soils, which thanks to their structure give the wine a mineral character and a clear identity, and many vines here are decades to hundreds of years old, which contributes to a deeper expression of the terroir in every bottle.
On the palate the wine is dry, fresh and balanced, with aromas of citrus, white fruit and delicate herbal notes, supported by mineral depth. The wine is best enjoyed chilled at 8–10°C and pairs wonderfully with grilled fish, seafood, white meat or light tapas and cheeses, where it will highlight its purity and fresh fruitiness.

The wine Quintaluna is a lively and fresh white wine made from 100% Verdejo variety, coming from small, hand-harvested vineyards around the small town of Nieva. This "wine of the village legend" (Vino de Pueblo) is created through the selection of old vineyards on sandy soils, which thanks to their composition allowed some of the oldest vines on the Iberian Peninsula to survive and reflect a terroir with a long winemaking tradition. Quintaluna thus offers an authentic expression of Segovian Verdejo with a distinctive identity and a clean expression of soil and climate.
Grape variety: 100 % Verdejo from various plots around Nieva, including old vines of historic origin, which give the wine depth and distinctive character.
Vineyard: Comes from small, hand-farmed vineyards around the village of Nieva (Segovia). The vineyards are planted predominantly on sandy and slightly stony soils, which gives the wine a mineral character and freshness. Many vines are decades to hundreds of years old and thanks to their resilience survived phylloxera, which ensures authenticity and pronounced terroir qualities. Each plot is processed separately, so that the final cuvée retains the most faithful possible expression of the soil and variety.
Production: The grapes are hand-picked, gently pressed and fermented using native (indigenous) yeasts in small stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages 9 months "sur lie" (on the lees) in the same tanks, which adds complexity, texture and a delicate structure, without losing freshness. It is then clarified, bottled and left to rest for several months in bottle before release. It contains sulphites to protect the wine's stability.
Aromatic profile and taste: Quintaluna presents itself as a vibrant and intense Verdejo, with a clean and fresh aromatics of citrus, white fruit and mineral depth, supported by the elegance and delicate texture from ageing on the lees. On the palate it is dry, fresh and well balanced, with a long and harmonious finish that emphasises the purity and identity of the variety and terroir.
Food pairing: It pairs with lighter dishes, especially grilled fish, seafood, white meat or vegetable dishes, as well as lightly spiced tapas or delicately aromatic cheeses. The recommended serving temperature is 8–10°C, ideally chilled, so that its fresh fruity aromatics and mineral depth can fully develop.
