Oller del Mas, Arnau Oller, D.O. Pla de Bages, red wine, 0.75l

This unique red wine, Arnau Oller, produced by the Mas del Oller winery, embodies the time and nobility of the Pla de Bages wine region. The grapes are grown on the small Boiga vineyard, more than 25 years old, located at 220 m above sea level. The grapes are hand-harvested into small crates, which are then transported for fermentation once filled. This takes place at a temperature of 22 °C over 10 days, followed by maceration for 15-30 days. The final ageing phase in barrique barrels lasts 12 months, after which the wine rests for a further year in the bottle. Because the vineyard is very small, this wine has a limited production. The Oller del Mas winery thus produces up to 4000 bottles, and only in exceptional vintages. The wine received 87 points from Robert Parker. The Oller del Mas winery is located on the site of a restored medieval castle from the 10th century. It has 600 ha of land at its disposal, of which 60 ha are organic vineyards, where no chemicals are used and only organic fertilisers are applied.  Grape variety: 100% Merlot  Aroma: aroma of fruit, balsamic and spice Serve at a temperature of 16-17°C.
