Oller de Mas, Petit Bernat Blanc, D.O. Pla de Bages, white wine, 0.75l

This excellent white wine comes from the Pla de Bages region, which  has a Mediterranean climate characterised by low rainfall and large temperature differences. The vineyards are over 30 years old and situated at 300 m above sea level. After hand harvesting, the grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 21 days at a controlled temperature of 16°C. The wine has a straw-yellow colour with greenish tinges and smells of fresh white fruit (mainly pears and citrus) and white flowers with a delicate herbal aroma. On the palate it is smooth and fresh with hints of white fruit, a long finish ending in a gentle bitterness.  The Oller del Mas winery is located on the site of a restored medieval castle from the 10th century. It has 600 ha of land at its disposal, of which 60 ha are organic vineyards, where no chemicals are used and only organic fertilisers are applied.  Grape variety: Picapoll Blanc, Macabeo The optimal serving temperature is between 6°- 8°C. Suitable for white meat and pasta.  Alcohol content: 12% Bottle size: 0.75l Country of origin: Spain, D.O.
