Tetilla Campo Capela is a traditional Galician cow's milk cheese with a protected designation of origin (PDO), made from fresh milk from local farms in north-western Spain.
It is typical for its conical shape, from which it also gets its name. After a short ageing period, usually at least 8 days, it retains a soft, creamy texture and a gentle buttery flavour with slightly tangy, milky notes.
Thanks to its smooth texture, it melts well and is ideal on bread, in tapas, sauces or baked dishes, but also tastes wonderful on its own, combined with fruit, nuts or the traditional Galician sweet membrillo.
