Gramona, III Lustros, D.O.Penedés, Cava, white sparkling wine, 0.75l

Cava III Lustros Brut is made from two varieties, Xarel.lo and Macabeu, and has a strong aroma thanks to long ageing. We detect hazelnuts, mountain flowers, white coffee, milky caramel, and everything is rounded off into buttery-creamy tones. The flavour is soft thanks to the touch of very fine, tiny bubbles that pleasantly engage the palate and all the senses. Complex, in a broad harmony ranging from nutshells through ripe corn to luxurious chocolate pralines.  Cava III Lustros Brut  is made according to the traditional Champenoise method, whereby the first fermentation takes place in barrels of French oak, followed by secondary fermentation in the bottle, with the bottles turned by hand. The total ageing period is over 80 months with a cork closure. The vines come from vineyards more than 20 years old. The winery takes the environment into consideration, and the Cava can therefore be classed among organic and biodynamic wines. Food pairing Cava III Lustros is a very sparkling wine and pairs wonderfully with foie gras, charcuterie, terrines, seafood or poultry. Overall it pairs very well. We recommend serving it chilled at a temperature of 8-10°C. Gramona III Lustros is suitable for laying down. The Gramona winery is a very old family business, whose Cava is highly regarded by experts and recognised in Spain as the Rolls Royce among Cavas.
