Finca Villacreces, D.O. Ribera del Duero, red wine, 0.75l

A delicious purple-coloured red wine from the Ribera del Duero wine region. The Villacreces winery was founded in 1980 and produces wines in small numbers of bottles in order to achieve their highest quality. The harvest takes place by hand in the second and third weeks of October, and the grapes undergo double selection. The wine is made from three grape varieties, which are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and then also age separately in French oak barrels for 14 months. Only after that are they blended and bottled. It is a purple-coloured wine with a pronounced bouquet of espresso, toasted bread, graphite, wild blueberries and blackberry liqueur. A full-bodied wine, rich in flavour with hints of smoke. It pairs well with red meat, lamb and poultry dishes, but also with desserts.
