Ethiopia Bensa is a select coffee from the Sidama area, specifically from the Bensa region near the town of Daye, grown by smallholder farmers at high altitudes of 1,800–2,100 m a.s.l.
Thanks to its washed processing it stands out for a clean and elegant flavour profile, combining delicate notes of nuts, pralines and floral nuances reminiscent of orange blossom.
The coffee is grown from traditional Ethiopian varieties Walecho and Michicho and benefits from ideal local climate conditions, mineral-rich soils and careful hand-picking, which is reflected in its balanced flavour, pleasant acidity and overall complexity in the cup.
Ethiopia Bensa is a select single-varietal coffee from the Sidama area, specifically from the Bensa region near the town of Daye. The coffee is produced by smallholder farmers who grow traditional Ethiopian varieties Walecho and Michicho at high altitudes of 1,800–2,100 m a.s.l., where ideal climatic conditions, mineral-rich soils and clean spring water contribute to the exceptional quality of the beans.
Processing takes place using the washed method, which emphasises the purity and elegance of the flavour profile. The coffee cherries are hand-picked at optimal ripeness and then carefully sorted and dried on raised African beds for 11 to 15 days, allowing even drying and the development of complex flavours.
In the cup, Ethiopia Bensa offers a delicate and balanced body with elegant acidity. The flavour profile is characterised by notes of nuts, pralines and floral nuances reminiscent of orange blossom, which together create a harmonious and clean flavour experience.
Thanks to its versatility, this coffee suits both filter (V60, Chemex, French press) and espresso, where its sweetness, delicacy and complexity come through.
