Octopus is one of the main products of Galicia and enjoys a special prestige in Spanish cuisine. Octopus is prepared by hand, slow-cooked in seawater and covered in olive oil, which perfectly preserves its unique taste and texture.

You can serve it very simply, just warmed, or use it in your favourite recipes. For a proper "pulpo a la gallega", serve the warm octopus on a bed of boiled potato slices, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with Spanish paprika. Take out the toothpicks and dig in.

Conservas de Cambados has been in business since 1985 and is located in northwestern Spain, in Galicia near the "Ría de Arousa" - a river famous for its size and seafood, which the company catches and preserves in its famous net-wrapped cans.
